Rubber Stamps Save Hours -- over time
Rubber stamps constitute the law office counterpart to the adage that "great oaks from little acorns grow" - they save you a few seconds here, a few minutes there, until finally hours of saved time have accumulated.
- Whenever you order a rubber stamp, consider whether others in the office may have use for the same stamp.
- Pay extra for self-inking ones. The extra you pay will be returned as a function of your hourly rate.
- Keep the rubber stamps within easy access so that you will not have to overcome obstacles to get to them.
- Of all the stamps shown, use "Photocopy and Send". A prompt response
or quick forwarding of a document to a client can make a very favorable
impression on the client and the adversary.

This one absolutely must be a self-inker:

Require this to be on every piece of incoming mail:

This should be the most frequently used stamp in your day-to-day tasks as a lawyer.
Keep your clients informed. (It really cuts
down on needless phone calls.)

Often you are just sending photocopies to keep your clients informed of developments in their cases.
They may think something is expected of them.

DATE EVERYTHING!!
---------------------------------------------- If the right copies don't go to the right place, you -- the high-paid professional -- will lose time in the resulting aftermath.
---------------------------------------------- Not every fax needs a fancy coversheet.
----------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------- Suggestion: Don't clutter your desk with files from which you need just one document; but, don't pull individual documents from files, which are likelty to get scattered and lost.
Instead, ask a staff member to make a copy and stamp it with this stamp. Work with it for as long as needed. Then, shred it. ---------------------------------------------- Put this on the copy stamped "File Copy" so you will know instantly where the original is.
---------------------------------------------- Hopefully, you endorse (with a restricted endorsement!) a few checks a month.
